One mean lady

I forgot to post this the other day. Marc and Grey were riding the lawn mower at my parent's the other day and spotted this gal on the side of a tree. Of course they killed it and Marc insisted I snap a picture. I've never seen a black widow up close and was amazed at the hourglass shape on her belly. The red is so vivid.

More Pancakes!

Last weekend we went to my parents for the weekend. One morning my parents made an excellent breakfast of grilled sausage and pancakes. Anderson thoroughly enjoyed it!

Boys Best Friend

I think they like each other.

Visit with MawMaw

We always love to visit MawMaw! I only wish we could do it more often. Today we went to Troy to see my grandmother for the day. It is always so nice to sit and chat for a few hours while the boys make a total mess. Anderson's reflux was acting up today so we got a few pics in just a diaper. Thanks MawMaw for a wonderful visit!

Duck

This is the newest member of our growing family! For months Marc and I have talked of getting another dog. We wanted a family friendly dog that would be a great running partner for Marc. I think we hit the jackpot! Today we finally decided to take the plunge. I had my heart set on a golden retriever but felt that I needed to go the Humane Society to find a new family friend. When I got there one the workers asked what I was looking for and I told her all that we needed and added that I really wanted a golden but felt that I needed to adopt a rescue. We sat for a minute waiting for her to return and in comes this gorgeous golden licking the kids all over.

Duck, formerly known as Trapper, was given to the shelter by an elderly man that could no longer care for him. He is house trained, doesn't dig, knows several commands and follows me every where I go! The kids absolutely love him and Piper, our weeny dog, is slowly coming around.

Eufaula Weekend

As we speak I'm sitting on my parent's back porch watching the sun set and smelling snapper on the grill. SWEET! Marc and I had a wonderful time with the boys today. The weather has been so great.

My Daddy replaced a lot of the old wood on the clubhouse that I grew up playing in for Anderson and Grey. This picture makes me nervous!

ARGH!

Ahoy me mateys! This be me mean pirate face. ARGH!

Land ho!

Please notice one boot is missing. If you'll remember from "The Pirates that Don't Do Anything," the bad guy has a peg leg. This is the best we could do.

Me Mommy hurt me feelins'. She be such a scally wag. (He's mad because of a wardrobe malfunction—his eye piece kept falling off his shorts)

Grey's First Date

I know it's a little soon for his first date but she's a real cutie pie! Just look at those big brown eyes! We grilled and went swimming with our great friends Suzanne, Kieth, Diane and John last Friday. While the adults ate Ella and Grey rode around the screened in porch in the "Flintstone car," as I've always called it. It was so funny to see them in action. Both were crammed in and of course the door wouldn't close all of the way. Grey would jump out of the window and close Ella's door then jump back in and drive them around. When we asked where they were going Grey replied, "the bookstore." Marc and I couldn't have been more proud! Listen closely near the end. Grey makes the "beep, beep, beep" sound of a truck backing up. Only a boy!

Love my boys

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love having two boys! Already I can see what great friends they will be. Anderson watches Grey's every move and I'm sure his thought is something like "I wish I could do that!" Grey, to be such a rough child, is surprisingly sweet and some what gentle with Anderson. Gentle is not a word I would use to describe Grey. Even hugs hurt. I took these pictures the other day because they were so cute in their matching outfits. Grey was so excited to get dressed and stand proudly beside his matching baby brother.

Wonderful Weekend

Weekend before last my mom and brother came to visit for the weekend. It was so nice! My mom's love language is definitely acts of service! She had my house shining. It was so nice to start the week after such a great visit and a clean house.

Grey absolutely adores my brother John. John is such a good sport and does things that most 15 year olds would probably not do just to get a good laugh out of Grey.

My Aunt Betty lives in LaGrange, GA. Montgomery is a sort of meeting place for her and my grandmother, MawMaw, who lives in Troy, AL. It worked out great that Momma and John were also in town to visit.

Maw Maw and Anderson. Grey isn't in any photos because he is way too hard to catch!

On the Go

Anderson is all over the place these days! Below is video of him in action. Notice the tongue—he has two teeth coming through and he loves to feel them.
